In order to maximize our efforts to preserve and perpetuate Hawaiian music and culture, we try to make all of our events free and open to the public. We do not charge admission so funding must come in the form of grants and both monetary and in-kind donations.
HIMELE is dependent upon the following sources to help fund its activities:
The Hawaii Tourism Authority provides support for festivals on Kaua'i, Maui and Hawaii Island. This program is also supported in part by the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts through appropriations from the Legislature of the State of Hawaii and by the National Endowment for the Arts.
You, too, can support and help our efforts. Your contribution may be tax-deductible and will go a long way to support and perpetuate music education. If you'd like to help, you can make your cash donation by downloading our HIMELE Donation Form and mail the completed form with your designated donation to the address specified on the form. For your convenience, we also offer the convenience of PayPal so you can contribute using your credit card — even if you don't have a PayPal account. All PayPal donations are processed using HIMELE's PayPal account. Simply click on the downward arrow (∨) to select the amount you wish to donate and click on the "Donate" button.
